We're planning to take a Rabbie's 3-day tour to the Isle of Skye this June! The situation is that we need to be a 10-minute walk from the city center, (Rabbie's rules), but have accommodations for 3, (us and our 16-year-old daughter). Any recommendations for a nice pleasant hotel or B&B that wouldn't be too noisy?
When we took a Rabbie's tour they had lodging options as part of the tour. Ours was fine and I didn't hear any complaints from others.
Thank you very much! I was concerned as we've had some unpleasant "surprises" on a few B&B visits in the states, and you don't get to look ahead of time with Rabbie's.
Just as a side note, if you want to spend more time at (or near) the southeastern end of Isle of Skye, I can recommend the Dornie Hotel in Dornie. It is on the mainland, 5-10 min east of the Kyle of Lochalsh bridge and not far from the Glenelg-Kylerhea ferry. Walking distance to Eilean Donan Castle. The pub serves good meals, and the rooms are nothing fancy but affordable. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Thanks so much. We decided to go ahead and let Rabbie's book our accommodations.
