Kyle of Lochalsh restaurant recommendations

My trip to Scotland includes a Rabbies tour and they have me staying at a BnB in Kyle of Lochalsh. I would love restaurant recommendations for dinner because I stay there two nights.

Hi, Linda,

Jacqui may be able to make some suggestions, but for my money, you can't beat Fisherman's Kitchen. They are open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is outside seating. Kyle Hotel may be an option if you want to have a sit down meal inside, plus there are Chinese, pizza, and fish & chip takeaways. There is also a Co-op supermarket for those late night snacks. Your B&B can certainly make recommendations as well. Not to worry, you'll certainly have enough options for two nights!

Best wishes and bon appetit!

Hi Linda
I live on Skye and for me Kyle is a place to pass through on my way home from trips 'off island', so I have never eaten there, apart from getting the best Cullen Skink from a cabin down on the shoreline. However, there is a decent Indian restaurant just over the bridge on Skye. It's not too far to walk from Kyle and you'd get great views from the bridge. Once over the bridge turn right and the restaurant is just on the left. Best to reserve a table.

We were in that area last week. We stayed in Dornie - there are two places to eat there - the Clachan Pub and the Dornie restaurant / hotel. I didn't notice any places to eat in Kyle. There are a few places across the bridge in Kyleakin - but that would be a long and windy walk.
