We are travelling to western Scotland in July and would like to go on a half day kayaking tour. We are considering Oban where will be staying 1 night. Or in Skye where we are staying 2 nights in Portree. Does anyone have a suggestion for a sea kayaking tour? Thanks.

Think in recent thread or might have elsewhere, kayaks can be hired at Arisaig.
Nice little village ,great food at the hotel.
Arisaig is a few miles from Mallaig, where the ferry runs to Skye

There's also 3 companies in Oban
I spent time in both places last year as I was hiking to Carlottas Eyrie just outside Arisaig .
The seascape and bays are better up there than Oban.

I know of two companies - one in Skye and the other based in Plockton who offer kayak tours. I have not used either as I have my own kayak, but I do know one of the guides from the Plockton based group.

south sea skye i can vouch for used last year and was very glad i found them, by chance my i add, as wasnt a member on here yet
