Itinerary mostly booked, a little room left for last minute advice!

18 July - Arrive in Dublin, travel to Killarney.
19-23 July - Hiking the Kerry way
23 July - travel to Cork and fly to Glasgow, stay overnight in Glasgow
24 July - Fly to Barra stay 1 night in Barra
25 July - travel from Barra to Lochboisdale stay 1 night in Lochboisdale
26 July - Ferry from Lochboisdale to Mallaig, Jacobite train from Mallaig to Ft William. Stay the night in Ft william.
27 July - Hike Ben Nevis, stay the night in Ft William
28 July - Tour leaving from Ft William to explore Loch Ness, dropping us off at our hotel in Inverness.
29 July - renting a car in Inverness traveling to explore Dunnethead and on to Thurso
30 July - nothing planned yet
31 July -nothing planned yet
1 Aug - flying from Inverness to Belfast, black cab tour, pickup rental car
2 Aug - travel to Newcastle and hike Slieve Donard
3 Aug - Explore Giants causeway
4 Aug - back to Dublin to fly home

I know it may seem busy to some but its how we like to travel. The 3 days in Thurso is the only thing not currently booked, I know a few people have made some great suggestions around Thurso, is there any cant be missed things we should explore over those three days? Is a trip to Orkney worth it?

In case you need something for July 30 and 31, the town of Nairn is a few miles east of Inverness, just east of Cawdor Castle. It has its charms. I can recommend Tali Ayer B&B though there are lots of other B&Bs in town. The restaurant The Classroom is excellent.
