I've just seen a facebook post from Turus Mara that the new access staircase at Staffa has now opened- so landing trips to the island have now started for the season.
The boat now lands on a proper jetty, and it is a very nice looking metal staircase with open style grating steps and a rope handrail.
There are about 6 concrete steps up from the pier, then a staircase of about 7 steps, a landing and a second staircase of about 13 steps, then about 6 concrete steps at the top.
