We are planning a trip to the Isle of Skye, but wonder what is the best way to get there? Is driving an option and if so where would you rent a car? We are planning on flying from Dublin to Inverness. Has anyone stayed in the Wigwams?

If you're flying to Inverness, then best place to hire a car would be Inverness airport. You drive across the Skye Bridge.

A car is definitely advisable for Skye. Portree is the largest town, and it is not very large. Great food!

Agree, rent a car from Inverness airport. The drive to Skye is scenic and easy to navigate. You will want a car while on the isle because public transport is sparse.
Not familiar with Wigwams.
Apart from that, we could give more advice if you mentioned a few more details such as: How many nights do you have? What are your interests and goals for the trip? How large is your group and what ages?
