First, I am so appreciative of all of the ideas people are suggesting as we travel through Scotland. Thank You!!
We will be driving from Inverness to Oban. What are the key sights we should include during that one day of travel?

I have not driven that way myself, but I can tell you that Glencoe is quite beautiful and definitely worth visiting. There are waterfalls and trails and a beautiful nature preserve. There is also the Glencoe Folk Museum that has 18th-century thatched cottages, with displays on local heritage and the Glencoe massacre of 1692.
Looking back on my notes, I described the Inverness to Oban leg as the dullest of our 2 week trip in May 2022. I've never seen a castle-still standing, or in ruins, that I haven't loved, and so I was excited about Urquhart Castle. But aside from the location on Loch Ness I was underwhelmed. I did notice quite a few people had parked in Kilmore and walked a path along the lake to the Castle and I wished we would have done that. It's probably a 45 minute walk.
Other than that, it's a pretty drive but the roads along the lake are so curvy and narrow that I didn't have time to enjoy the views. If you haven't picked a place to stay yet, we splurged and stayed at Barcaldine Castle about 30 minutes north of Oban. It describes itself as a luxury B and B and it didn't disappoint.
Neptunes Staircase
Steall Waterfall in Upper Glen Nevis.
Its only a short walk up from the top car park.
Maybe the parallel roads over towards Glen Roy
In.Glencoe itself take the much quieter back road via the Clachaig Inn rather than the A82
