Inverness to Dublin flight

Hello -

Been planning Scotland/Ireland trip for Sept/Oct '24 - wanting to get from INV to DUB. I believe only non-stop is Logan AIr from Aberdeen to DUB. Have read poor reviews elsewhere regarding unreliability of Logan air - looking for advice on alternatives. Better to take 1/2 day and grab the British Airways flight connecting via LHR? More reliable (more options) to fly out of Edinburgh?
Appreciate any advice on this.

You can fly from Inverness to Belfast and take the train to Dublin.

According to Aberdeen airport's website they also have non-stops to Dublin with both BA and Aer Lingus.

But this whole Loganair thing is just getting way out of hand. For one thing they have a new aircraft fleet now, the Saabs are now retired.
As with all reviews people only complain when they want to whinge, and the world is full of armchair warriors who think they know how to run an airline, but couldn't run a drinks party in a brewery.
Loganair are operating in a seriously challenging environment, and would not be being awarded the lifeline service contracts by the Scottish Government if they were half as bad as many people like to make out.

Compared to other major airlines in America how bad are they really, and honestly? This forum is full of people with their transatlantic flights being constantly re-arranged.

We will be in Scotland in May. We had a direct flight on Ryanair from Inverness to Dublin canceled, not enough use on the route, n longer exists. We had to change our plans and are taking the train to Glasgow, spending the night and flying to Dublin the next morning. Glasgow wasn't originally in our itinerary.

I have flown numerous times on Loganair from many airports including Aberdeen, Belfast, Dundee, Inverness, Kirkwall, London and Manchester.

Never had a problem.

A comment this morning from another forum I am on, about another carrier-

Do NOT read reviews before you travel anywhere, remember you only review if youre staff (good ones) or had an absolute stinker, or a total karen expecting something for free for a really quite small inconvenience!!

Very true. Book what is most convenient to you.

isn31c reminds me of something I was told about on line reviews.

Look at where the majority are, not at the top, not at the bottom. Whether that person is correct but it was one star reviews always have an agenda, five star reviews often have an agenda. Look for those who don't.
