Inverness Sheepdog?? Dump it??

Hello,

Working on the trip planning. We are 2 nights in Fife, two nights in Stonehaven. After this we are headed to Inverness area. We wanted to see the popular working sheep dogs but according to the website shows are from June to Oct. The website states if you are out of this time to message for visit dates and times. I did this but no response this far. I hate to not hear from them and assume we will visit on our second day and not have this planned.

We are traveling in early May and wondering if I should dump one of my Inverness days and do two night around Luss ion the Loch??? Any suggestions?

Fife. 2 nights
Stonehaven 2 nights
Inverness 2 night
Skye 2 nights
Oban 2 nights
Luss 1 night
Edinburgh 4 nights

Did you just email? Sometimes it works to just phone them. If you're like me you were brought up to think that phoning Europe will bust every bank. It won't. :) I assume that you are thinking Leualt and they do list a phone at the bottom.

Pam,

I did just email so far. I am just torn on not picking up two night somewhere on the Loch around Luss or somewhere in between Luss and Edinburgh to see some of the sites. There is also Alpaca Trekking?? I loge to mess with animals as well.

Two nights = one full day, so cutting out a night from Inverness would mean so little time there that you should consider going elsewhere. Your itinerary is rushed, particularly for Skye, where you only have one full day there. I would drop one location to give a more realistic pace.

Having been to Luss to take a short boat ride on Loch Lomond, I can say it is a very small village, very charming. It seems like the kind of place where people from around Britain and Europe like to come and stay in a cottage. Its tourist popularity is attested to by the large size of the Pay & Display parking lot and pay-toilets building near the boat dock. If you enjoy walking and/or wish to take a boat cruise, Luss is a great choice.

You've probably already read this web page, but FWIW https://www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/discover-the-park/towns-villages/luss/

The access road from the A82 is small and if you blink you may miss the "Luss" sign.
