How to get to Dean village in Edinburgh

Hi there,

I & my husband will be in Scotland this June on a 8 day holiday and will be spending our first two days in Edinburgh. We would be renting car in Edinburgh for a week. While in Edinburgh, we are keen on visiting Dean village. I tried looking online for details on car parking lots/areas near Dean village but the search did not yield any result. Could someone help me here with some tips on how we can get to Dean village by car?

Thanks
Raksha

there is little or no parking in Dean village,in fact a car in Edinburgh is as much good to you as a chocolate fireguard you just can't get parking and if you do it will be expensive and some distance from where you actually want to be .I gave up my car over 14 years ago and don't miss it.
Take a bus to Stockbridge ( I was born in Stockbridge)) and walk along the water of Leith walkway to Dean village passing St Bernards well on the way or a bus to Dean Bridge (Queensferry road) and walk down from there.

What UncleGus said.
Public transport is really good in Edinburgh, and you can buy a daypass for the regular buses.
You can walk to the Dean Village from Princes Street in about half an hour.
