Hello! My husband and I will travel from Ireland to Scotland by ferry sometime in September 2027. Does anyone have suggestions of how to get from the Cairnryan port to a city in Scotland where we could rent a car? Thank you in advance.

You can buy tickets from Belfast to Glasgow that include the ferry and coach up to Glasgow, where you can rent a car
Are you sure the ferry is how you want to travel? If you let us know the bigger picture of your travel plans, maybe we could offer other suggestions.

Not Citylink, it's not a direct service and you have to drag your luggage on and off the ferry, with a Belfast city bus taking you out to the ferry and Citylink not putting in an appearance until you are off the ferry.
