How much time should I allocate

This is a rough early itinerary for a trip to Fife, Scotland which is a region a lot of my Scottish Ancestors were born in. Per the title, how much time should I allocate if I want to explore these areas at a leisurely pace? The first times listed are how long people usually spend there and the second set of times is how far from the lodge it is.

· Edinburgh Castle (National War Museum) ($33.00)

· Creich Castle (30 min-1 hour) (9 minutes from lodge)

· St. Andrews Castle (1 hour) (28 minute drive) (30 minute drive from lodge)

· St andrew's cathedral (2 hours) (Free) (30 minute drive from lodge)

· Fife Folk Museum (3 hours) (Free; 17 minutes from lodge)

· Falkland Palace (3 hours; 18 minutes from lodge) ($20.00)

· Scotland Witch Trial Museum (2 hours; 30 minutes from lodge)

· WW2 Bunker (3 hours; 33 minutes) ($26.00)

Misc. (time permitting)

· St. Serf’s Church

· Ruins of Roxenburgh

If you are really interested in researching ancestors, book a day at Register House in Edinburgh if you have time.

https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/visit-us

£15 and you have access all day via a computer to massive amounts of documents and information about Scottish families.
I did it a few years ago and loved it.
You just need to know some basic starting points, such as a few names and birth or death dates to get started.
