Need recommendations for housing in Stirling (either small hotels or B&Bs) for 4 night in late May for 3 people. Prefer close to train station.

I stayed here at Terraces several years ago, but it was a good stay. It's walkable to the RR Station. I think if I were going back I would look at Allanpark as well. I would be tempted by The Golden Lion's location,, but it looks like coach tours book there and they serve a buffet breakfast. My experience with Scottish buffet breakfasts is mixed. Reviews also said it could be noisy, but I live in Manhattan and can now sleep anywhere, but perhaps you can't. :)

Although Rick does mention Stirling in his Great Britain guidebook, he doesn't have any suggested hotels or B&Bs there. I would recommend looking at Lonely Planet guidebook or perhaps visit the Stirling Tourist Office website.
