I am looking for recommendations on where to stay near Loch Lomond and Glencoe. We will be coming from Glasgow and will have two nights to spend in these areas before heading up to Inverness. Is there a central area to see both, or should we stay one night near each of these locations?
We are renting a car.

I think that my preference would be to spend the day looking around Loch Lomond, but to move on elsewhere to spend the night. I think I had built up crazy high expectations that it was going to be this amazingly beautiful place that was going to “wow” me. Maybe I sang the song once too often…..
If you have visited many lakes in your lifetime, you will find this a nice lake. It is fun to take a boat ride on or walk along the shore for a ways. It is amazingly in a class by itself? No.
If you are making choices about budgeting your time, I don’t think you need to worry about giving Loch Lomond extra time.
