Would like to do a horse back ride in the highlands. A full day ride.

Checkout this website:
It looks as though they have riding trips throughout the Highlands. They appear to be based in Aboyne. Their trips outside of the Aboyne area appear to be for longer periods of time.
You could also have a look at
www.highlandponytrekking.co.uk (Based in Glenshiel) and
www.gairlochtrekkingcentre.co.uk
Most of these trekking companies use Highland ponies as opposed to full size horses. They are just a little bit shorter than the horses which you find in the U.S., which is good for me, as it's less distance to fall off!

Hi, Richard,
That's the Silversands Trekking Company https://silversandstrekking.co.uk I've seen them riding on the beaches in the Morar/Arisaig area. However the OP was looking for a day long trek, and Silversands only does one and two hour treks.
