Highlands for ~2 days?

I've already been to Edinburgh several times and explored the city. This time I'm flying in for a work trip and would like to explore some places outside of Edinburgh, perhaps the highlands and wanted to get some advice here. I land at Edinbrugh airport 10am on Saturday May 4th, and I need to be back in Edinburgh city for dinner on Monday May 6th. So that's the timeframe I'm working with

I was thinking of renting a car at the airport and driving to the Highlands, but I'm not sure exactly where to. I'm not a whisky person, castles are interesting, but not a must-see as I've already seen Edinburgh castle. I guess I'm looking for stunning natural scenery and some light hiking. Do I have enough time to be able to do this, and what places would you recommend? Monday May 6th appears to be a bank holiday, so not sure if that will complicate plans since it may be a busy weekend?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

You might be consider a one or two day trip with someone like Rabbies from Edinburgh.

If you do decide to drive from Edinburgh you could go across to the A82 via Stirling (great castle) and Callander (pleasant town and lovely scenery in that area) and then north through Glencoe (loads of hiking choices) overnight at Kingshouse hotel (very good) at the top of Glencoe for Saturday night or down in Glencoe Vilage . The next day you could go north to Spean Bridge via Fort William before heading east to Dalwhinnie (great distillery) and then pick up the A9 south towards Pitlochry (nice short waterfall walk at Bruar just north of Pitlochry) where you could spend Sunday night before heading south to Edinburgh.

Walk Highlands is the best website to find walks graded by difficulty and by region.
