My family of three (5 year old daughter) will be landing in Edinburgh at 12:35 coming from Ireland. We want to emphasize nature and castles. My daughter is a great road-tripper, but of course we want to enjoy our time out of the car! Please let me know your thoughts on the following itinerary.
Day 1: Land in Edinburgh, to Edinburgh
Day 2: Edinburgh (Castle, etc.)
Day 3: to Cairngorms National Park (feed reindeer, ancient forest hike), stay Inverness
Day 4: Jacobite Loch Ness tour, stay Inverness
Day 5: to Glencoe, stay in Barcaldine Castle in Oban
Day 6: Drive to Lake District for rest of trip
