Edinburgh Waverly to The Dunedin 8 Priestfield rd. Best way...cab?
If priestfield road is where I think it is ( near commonwealth swimming pool), you can take a connecting bus. If you are flying into Edinburgh airport, you may just want to take a cab straight to your hotel. The cost is not that expensive - under $50. Probably closer to $35.
According to the website for your guest house, if you are coming by train:
"The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley. Once there, take Waverley Steps onto Princes Street, cross towards shops and take Lothian Bus 30 or 33 from Princes Street. Alternatively from North Bridge take Lothian Bus 14, 30, 33, or First Bus 86 to Dalkeith Road. (2 stops after Commonwealth Swimming Pool) From the bus stop walk a few metres back towards the city centre and you will find Priestfield road on the right, Dunedin Guest House is number 8. "
This certainly would be cheaper than a cab, and shouldn't be a problem unless you have ALOT of luggage. Once you are at Waverly, just ask any station employee for directions to the proper stop - they are always happy to assist.
