ON my Best of Scotland trip in April'19, our guide let us know the town, golf course, and college were known as sanTANdrews. I use this unusual, and hopefully colloquially correct, pronunciation to this day.

I recall in London how it seemed to our Ohio ears that Saint Paul’s was pronounced Sin Pulls.

first part right - ish, second part not so much.
Probably depends on accent - east end, west end, country, out-of-towner
