We are meeting friends at the port when we arrive in Greenock, Scotland. Can anyone tell me where people can meet up? Can cars come down to a gate?

I've been racking my gourd since nobody else has answered. I think I know where the cruise terminal is, but I've never been there when a ship was in and I might have it confused with the activity center off to the east. The entirety of the waterfront is pretty industrial without much access to the wharves.
You won't know exactly when you'll debark and there's probably a bunch of gates, and no sense in them sitting around forever guessing if they're at the right one. There's going to be some kind of easily recognizable debarkation facility where you line up buses, buy coffee etc.
Why not put the parking onus on them and have them meet you there?
