Will have a day, and part of another, in Glasgow before we fly home. Arrive by train.
Given the traditional things to see and experience in the
City, and need to get to the airport early for a 10:30 a.m. flight, am trying to narrow lodging focus on either West End or downtown. No car. Will be using public transportation. Thanks for any and all ideas.

If you stay downtown there is a bus that you can catch from George's Square. It's very easy. You buy a ticket in the TI on the square and catch the bus at an appropriate time. You can check out the schedules here. It's a a short ride to the airport--they say 15 minutes. What you can do it the day before you leave stop in to the TI and get exact information.
