Glasgow -- near the airport but not ....

I have a month long trip planned in Sept -- 10 days with one friend who departs and then another arrives. I am staying at the Holiday Express to see Traveler #1 off, but I have a day to spend before the next friend arrives. I'd like to stay close but not in Glasgow or urban area, but be close enough to the airport. Have tried a couple of sites online -- for farm b&b -- but getting no response. Prefer the west versus east area around Glasgow. Ideas? Recommendations?

If you are driving, once you have dropped your friends at the airport, drive to the Erskine Bridge cross over and head to Dumbarton A small town on the banks of the Clyde. Old castle, supposedly founded over 1,000 years ago.
