This morning, as I passed through Queen Street Station before 7am, I picked up the leaflet for the Glasgow HoHo bus, run by City Sightseeing.
From May to September it runs every 15 minutes, and goes to everywhere a tourist is likely to want to reach.
It costs £16 for one day, £17 for two days. Family Tickets are £35 and £37.
For £3.80 you can add on a Glasgow subway day ticket- a 40 pence saving.
One of the attractions on the route is the Clydeside Distillery- a good time to do an easy to reach Distillery tour.
We used it last year during our 2 night stay. It was very convenient considering how spread out the sites are and how limited our time was. We got on and completed the entire route, taking note of the places where we wanted to return. We then went to them in the order of the route. Sometimes HOHO’s are a waste of time, but we felt it was well worth it in Glasgow.
I agree on this. Kelvingrove is a bit of a hike as are the Botanical Gardens. The HoHo seems to have a pretty good route in Glasgow.
So, can you just buy tickets that day? I went online to see if I could buy them ahead of time and they said there was nothing available for the days that I would need it. I’m glad you posted this because I was thinking about doing this the day before our tour.
