Glasgow accommodations?

Several reviewers on this forum have recommended the Grasshoppers Hotel, which is adjacent to Central Station. However, if you are planning day trips, without a car, you may be better off staying at one of the Premier Inns or Holiday Inns which are adjacent to both Queen Street train station and Buchanan Street bus station. The Premier Inn, especially, offers lower rates if you reserve far in advance. They get closer to the rack rate the closer you get to your arrival time.
