at the University of Glasgow, take a campus walking tour. We especially enjoyed

The Cloisters and Quadrangles
The Lion and Unicorn Staircase
Professors walk

Have lunch or ice cream at University Cafe near the campus. It’s an amazing spot! Run by the same family since the early 1900s. Anthony Bourdain loved it, as well. :)

As stated the Kelvingrove Museum is a great choice. When leaving you can walk through the park following the Kelvin River to the University of Glasgow. The Hunterian Museum at the university has a very good collection of Lowell, MA’s own James MacNeill Whistler.
A visit to Glasgow Cathedral with a walk up to the Necropolis is a good walk with great views.

I would add the Hunterian Art Gallery and Mackintosh at the Willows to the list. You need to get tickets for the guided tour for Mackintosh at the Willows in advance. The tearoom is a nice place for lunch. I would recommend that you make reservations for lunch after the tour.

Another yes to Lois’ suggestion to Mackintosh at the Willow! Such a great spot. We didn’t take the tour but saw it going on. We had the place to ourselves practically for breakfast. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, too. Just a lovely historical place.

I would also say check out the listings of the Kings and the Theatre Royal if there is something on that week. Both get a lot of touring productions as well as local productions.
