Glasgow 1 night

Hello Dear Travelers,
You previously gave me great info for planning our May '24 trip.
I love this forum. I searched for a few answers, but didn't find quite what I need. We were going to fly from Inverness to Dublin at the end of our 2 weeks in Scotland. The the flight route was canceled. We are now flying Glasgow to Dublin. We now plan to take a train to Glasgow and then fly to Dublin the next morning at 0750 (then take a train/bus to Dingle) .

A hotel at the airport would be best for the early flight. A few wrote that we can walk from the Holiday Inn to the airport. I see that we will need to take a bus to the airport, after getting off the train form Inverness.

We want to be able to spend the afternoon and evening exploring Glasgow.
What is the best area to explore and then get dinner and maybe music?

I've stayed in both Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express too, as well as the Premier Inn which is slightly further away but still walkable. Of them all the Holiday Inn Express is my top choice (and I stay there several times a year). I think it's quieter (and usually cheaper for some reason).
