I'll be traveling with some in my friends whose mother came from Mull and would like suggestions for visiting this area from Glasglow

Mull is a ferry ride from the mainland town of Oban. The CalMac ferry docks at the town of Craignure.

You can travel from Glasgow to Oban by either train or bus. Neither is especially frequent.

Demand for lodging on the west coast of Scotland and on the islands is very high, driving up rates. I recommend nailing something down ASAP.
