Hello and thanks friends! Will be in Edinburgh for a wedding Oct 6, then want to fly to Dublin from there to continue sightseeing - how to get to the departing airports for EasyJet and/or RyanAir? No rental car, need to use public transport or taxi/uber
Edinburgh only has one airport (EDI). There is a bus that leaves from Waverley and you can also take the tram.
EasyJet don't fly anywhere within the Republic of Ireland, so if you want a low cost carrier to Dublin you would be looking at RyanAir.
How you get to the airport in Edinburgh depends on where you are staying. There is a bus, as previously mentioned, but also a tram.
Where are you staying?
There are two airlines that fly between Edinburgh and Dublin--Ryanair and Aer Lingus. Which is cheaper depends on the day and time.
Be aware, Ryanair's flights are on jets while Aer Lingus are on turboprops. Some people don't like flying on planes with propellers.
oh good to know! Thanks a lot!
there should be a tram, but currently that is not going closer to the city centre than West End due to serious fire damage. It will probably be fixed in time but keep an eye in this page https://edinburghtrams.com/news/tram-disruption-princes-street-closure
gosh thx for this info!
