Two of us will be arriving at the Stirling train station to attend the Highland Games. I realize you can walk, bus or taxi both ways. I would prefer not to walk as it looks like over a mile and it will be a lot of walking all day. Are both bus and taxi easy and go pretty much without snags?
Thank you for your help.
I'm not sure about buses, but I know there are taxis available at the Stirling station. You just cross the street at Station Rd., and you will find a taxi stand at Murray Place.
Actually, I just found info on the buses. Here are directions in general: https://www.stirlinghighlandgames.com/visit-scotland/directions
In detail, just head to the Stirling bus station (about 400m from the train station), and you would get the Springkerse Park and Ride bus. This is a local bus service leaving from Stirling bus station and stops outside Stirling Sports Village. The Stirling Highland Games event is located behind the Forthbank football stadium. Each trip is £1 and here is a link to the timetable: https://www.stirling.gov.uk/roads-transport-and-parking/parking-and-permits/parking-documents/springkerse-park-and-ride-timetable/
