We are tendering on a cruise ship on August 8th. at Hawes Pier- South Queensferry. We will be in port from 9:00 AM to Aug 9th at 2:00 AM.. We think that the Tatoo will be over around 9:30 PM. What is the easiest way to get back to the ship that time of the evening so that we “don’t miss the boat”?

The quickest way via Google is to walk to Edinburgh Waverley station (about 11 minutes away), catch the Dundee line with ScotRail at 10 pm on platform 20, then take the train to the Dalmeny station and walk from there to Hawes Pier (about 8 minutes). This gets you there around 10:25 pm. There are other options as well - just key in the beginning and end point into Google.
