Flixbus have now started operating in Scotland in competition with Scottish Citylink/Megabus.
They are currently only running from Aberdeen to Glasgow and Edinburgh calling at Dundee, Perth, Dunfermline and Ingliston Park & Ride, Edinburgh (on the way to Edinburgh) and Dundee, Perth and Stirling (on the way to Glasgow) with fares starting at £2.

That's really interesting - thanks for the update! I used Flixbus in Germany (their train service) and was very impressed with it.
