Flight recommendations - Edinburgh EDI to San Francisco SFO

I'm looking to this group for any recommendations for flights from Edinburgh to San Francisco. Non-stop preferred, seating choice would be "Premium Economy" - whatever the specific airline has to offer between economy and business classes. If a non-stop is not available, I've read here that a stop in Schiphol (AMS) is preferable to London (LHR or LGW). Thanks in advance!

I've just booked RT flights to Edinburgh on Delta although not via SFO. Outbound I'm routed thru Atlanta (from Spokane) and Inbound I've got the route I prefer although it has 2 stops....EDI->AMS->SEA->Spokane. I did that route in 2023 and it was awesome. The transit from UK to US via AMS is SO easy. You stay in the non-Schengen area of the terminal so you do not go thru Passport control or security. It literally took me 5 minutes to walk from my arrival gate to my departure gate coming home.

BTW, I have been tracking prices for months and the Economy Comfort level was ~$3100. It's been that way for months on Delta and I just got tired of looking. Appalling fare price. I will see if it goes down any over the next few months and ask for a refund/credit if it does.

We took Aer Lingus from SFO to Edinburgh last May. It was via Dublin. I did not find any non-stops LAX or SFO to Edinburgh. Our son went from LAX to Edinburgh on British Airways via London.
