I know this will be a big disappointment for many but as a resident of Edinburgh it will be nice to have the city to ourselves in August. Hopefully we will be allowed out of lockdown by then.

Sad news but understandable. Glad we got a chance to attend the Military Tattoo and festivities around that last August. It was a highlight of our tour.

Rosebud, when I was young (many years ago) I went to the final Tattoo rehearsals each year. My father worked for the local council and they would get free tickets for the rehearsals each year. used to love it. I last went to the Tattoo about 10 years ago but it didn't have the magic of those visits when I was a Kid.

It never does Gus. When we are children we don’t think of how it affects our daily lives, that is our parents’ problem. When we were kids my grandparents had a summer house up the country. Our memories from there are so vivid, picking wild blueberries in the forest across the road, swimming and looking for toads in the lake, riding our bikes down the big hill Their house was on. They sold it when we were still young and we went by there once as adults. The Forest was a small acre of bushes, the hill not so steep, and the lake smelly. The house was so small I don’t know how we all stayed there (I am one of 8 children). That would make 12 people with my grandparents. Still, great memories

Just wondering... has this caused Aug people to cancel? I have tentatively scheduled September for our trip that was cancelled in May. Starting to wonder if this thing is ever going to end. I feel somewhat depressed....
