My father and I will be spending several days in the Edinburgh and Glencoe areas, then Skye this fall. We have one extra day and night to fill between Skye and heading back to Edinburgh. Any suggestions? We've been to the Inverness area. Was thinking potentially Westeross and Applecross? Or extra time around the Trossachs? Any suggestions appreciated :)
How many days are you planning to spend in each place? Thay will help in deciding what to do with the extra day!
We'll be in Edinburgh for 3 days, Glencoe for 2 and Skye for 3.
We enjoyed a stop over in Pitlochry; we walked to the Edradour Distillery for a wonderful tour and tasting.
The drive from Kinlochewe to Shieldaig ( the Torridon area) is spectacular - the scenery is a match for the Cullin area of Skye.
Drive over Bealach Na Ba to Applecross and up the NW to Torridon to Kinlochewe and beyond if you have the time.
Thanks everyone for the ideas! Can't wait!
