Does having a Scottish Explore pass allow you to go through a Fast Track at Edinburgh Castle? I notice on the castle website they are now operating on time slots - how does this impact having a pass? Does a pass holder have to reserve a slot also? I also have my college age daughter arriving in Edinburgh to visit the castle with us. She will not have an Explorer pass, so will need to buy a regular ticket. We have a very small window to see the Castle on a Saturday morning in July. . Can you tell me how best to go about making sure we get into the castle smoothly.

There are a only a few Explorer Pass holders still need to book in advance, but Edinburgh Castle is not one of them.
