Explorer Pass and flexi tickets

Hi- have looked through previous related posts and can't find a recent answer to this. I have an Explorer Pass and want to get a flexi-ticket (flexible entry date) for Edinburgh Castle, but when I go on the Edinburgh Castle site to get a flexi-ticket, it does not offer the Explorer Pass option. It would appear from the website you can only use the Exp pass with standard admission (timed entry). Does anyone have experience with using an Explorer Pass with flexible entry ticket. Can anyone tell me if I must have a specific date/time to use the Explorer pass or will they allow me entry anytime within the Explorer Pass' 14 day period. Thank you for any info...

Thank you for the reply... Yes it appears the Explorer Pass only allows regular timed entry. No problem... Although one thing I discovered today is that when I go on Edinburgh (and other) Castle websites to reserve a time, If I'm not totally sure of the time I want, I can make a reservation for a certain time, confirm i will use Explorer Pass, complete the reservation, and then go back on the same website and reserve ANOTHER time and also use Explorer pass... Then I guess I can go to whichever reservation works for me and show them my passes at entry. Anyone done this before?
