What is the best way to go from the Edinburgh airport to the train station to go to Glasgow?
We found the easiest way was to take the bus from the Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow. Fast and easy. And inexpensive.
Here is the link to the airport bus from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow. I took the bus in June this year and it was very easy and straightforward. Follow the signs to the bus. Pay the bus driver with credit card.

Hi, carole,
If you don't need to go in to Edinburgh first, and you don't mind going the whole way by bus, CityLink route 902 goes directly to Buchanan Street bus station in Glasgow from Edinburgh Airport (EDI).

Thank you CJean, Mary, and Mike. I didn’t even think of taking the bus directly to Glasgow.
I went out on the suggested website. Other than the Citylink 900 leaving every 30 minutes and Citylink 902 leaving every hour, is there a difference between the two? Does one have more stops, do you know? CJean, which did you take?
And Mary, same question to you.
The 902 has many more stops as it meanders its way slowly through West Lothian, taking a lot longer, serving any number of villages and towns.
Useful for them, but not to you.
It is also single deck compared to the route branded double deckers on the 900, which are motorway expresses.
Thank you…glad I asked.
BTW I was scratching my head about the Airport website calling the express service
Citylink AIR Glasgow Service 900
as the airport website should be right (surely) and I, like many others of a certain vintage think of the AIR as the 900 from when it was a number of years ago.
You will see all the buses with route number and branding AIR, no mention of 900.
The 900 is a different service Glasgow city centre to Edinburgh city centre which now by passes the airport by day, only calling in during the very small hours of the morning/night when the AIR is not running.
The service was split for speed and due to passenger numbers.
This may seem like, and probably is, semantics but I wouldn't want you looking for a non existent service 900.
The bus we took just said Citylink AIR.
Confusing…but I think I got it now. Just look for “AIR” for Citylink to Glasgow. Thanks again.
