My husband and I will be visiting Scotland and Wales doing some genealogical tourism in June 2020. We''ll start the trip in Edinburgh, and will likely do a day trip to Stirling as well as his family home in Penicuik. We then have about 5 days to get to my ancestral home in Llanelly, Wales not far from Swansea. I'd like to travel by train from Edinburgh to Lanelly for those 5 days and am looking for advice on an itinerary. We've been to Inverness, but not Glasgow, and I'd be interested in visiting one of the islands and/or Snowdonia National Park. Any thoughts?
