Edinburgh to Inverness - best option for train

Hello, I haven't used the trains in the UK since the last century, and since the Internet has made things seemingly so simple with online purchasing and apps etc.

I arrive in Edinburgh at 9:20am on Friday Sept 12. I purchased a single ticket (one-way) from Waverly rail station to Inverness on the 11:35am train. There's a transfer in Perth. I arrive in Inverness around 3:30pm. I plan to walk the 10 min or so to my lodging, which is all the more incentive to pack light.

Questions:
Have I allowed enough time to get from the airport to Waverly?
Is 6 min really sufficient time to transfer trains in Perth? That's per Scotrail, but it seems so short.

I know I sound anxious. I welcome any feedback, comments, and tips. If anyone reading this is on the same RS tour (Heart of Scotland, Sept 14), hello, am looking forward to meeting you!

The 6 minutes is sufficient, it is a booked connection, and is a cross platform connection from platform 5 to 7, follow the crowd.
It's sufficient time from the airport if the flight is on time. Let's say a fairly generous hour to deplane and do immigration, then it's just over half an hour by tram or bus, almost identical timings.
If it's looking tight get off tram or bus at Haymarket instead and join the train there.
You can probably only afford the flight to be around 30 minutes late.
I think I would rather have booked the 1332 through train from Edinburgh.
