Edinburgh restaurant recommendation / late August

We will be in Edinburgh beginning 8/21/22 for four nights. Any recommendations for restaurants centrally located would be appreciated, Scottish grub or bistro-like. Not too overly expensive. One diner is gluten-free. Thank you!

Not sure if they have gluten free, but they do (or did) have a web site so perhaps you can check there to see.
Or you can email them about gluten free options.

At any rate, we've had many great meals at Maison Bleue at 36 Victoria St. It is just off George IV Bridge St. which is just off High St. (The Royal Mile) close to the castle. Go to googlemaps.com, type in the address, and you'll be able to locate it easily. You can use the street view to "walk" to it before leaving home. You can't miss the blue façade. We've never had a problem being seated at lunch, but dinner reservations are advised. Small place, same ownership for years, and excellent food.
