Edinburgh Castle Tour

Get Your Guide still has Castle tickets available for tomorrow and every following day so far as I can see. You pay more for them through that reseller, but they do get you inside. I had to use them for the Alhambra last year. Expensive but worth it.

Have a look at this picture showing Edinburgh Castle. There are a lot of separate buildings inside the castle. All visitors and guided tours enter via the esplanade. There are certain areas of the grounds inside the castle the tours are allowed to go and stop. See this picture. So you will see the outside of the buildings, but you can't go into them with the guided tour.

When are you wanting to go? Checking on the Castle website for booking tickets I am finding tickets available for tomorrow 28th June in the afternoon, none for Saturday, but from Sunday onwards there are ticket slots available every afternoon. However there are no tickets available which include a guided tour run by Edinburgh Castle guides....

When are you trying to go? I was just on the website and see tickets available. We did the castle on our own and really enjoyed it. Rick’s book does a great walk through. Definitely take another look. I generally like a tour but I didn’t feel like we missed anything.

You can also hire an audio guide when you book on line, or from the ticket office and audio booth when you arrive.
