Edinburgh Castle closure date in July

Received this from Historic Scotland:

“… due to anticipated ceremonial activity taking place at Edinburgh Castle, the site will be closed on Wednesday 5 July. The Crown Room will be closed all day Tuesday 4 July and until midday Thursday 6 July. ”

Plan accordingly.

You would know! I booked July 4 thru my Historical Scotland membership to take my husband for first time on our wedding anniversary. May try to change to July 3 which is day we arrive from States instead.
