Edinburgh airport to Glasgow

We will be flying into Edinburgh from Canada, arriving early in the morning (in September). We need to get to Glasgow to meet up with our tour, and since we will be staying at the Grand Central, which is at the train station, we'll of course take the train. The question is how to get to the Edinburgh train station (Haymarket?) from the airport. Taxi seems a bit spendy. I think the tram has a stop for Haymarket, but do any of the Airport buses also have a Haymarket stop? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Yes the 100 into the City Centre has a stop at Haymarket- runs on a 10 to 12 minute frequency- 16 to 22 minute journey time- https://v5.airtableusercontent.com/v3/u/28/28/1715716800000/0E6bWc8pV3IX6pSc8zQwxA/RXtDWlRDMTGnnGDJaJhhJ40HxPItC9Ersz7Pt5jafCFHDeVZb99dNmhRhnaT-iakdTOpBVNf8Upr6WYEuo6Ne2ohaqATWAvJcyvXoaXhkBuTSab9GkOWK5t8xuElnsSwpsF0Ucf47LhFET6qhIwOBWuisyhDgFtsXXQRRdvI5aY/HmrqgjBt8lZVNKQQ4FjzBoe17e2GO6KKf_oHUxZdb7w

Personally I think I would get the Citylink AIR service to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station- hourly 0555 to 0755 then half hourly all day. Only 58 minute journey time to Buchanan down the motorway.

By train either get a Glasgow Central train from Haymarket (2 an hour) or a Queen Street service then the 398 free Station Link Bus in Glasgow to Central Station every 12 minutes calling at Queen Street, then Buchanan then Central. Anyone arriving at Buchanan by bus has to pay a fare, if you arrive by train at Queen Street it's free.

I always think it's faster to walk from Buchanan or Queen Street to Central, unless it's raining.
It's all down to personal preference.

Definitely agree with isn31c. The bus service is excellent and it will be a nice walk through the historic city centre once you get to Glasgow.
