Edinburgh Airport

I will be waiting at the Edinburgh airport for a few hours waiting for my son to arrive. Any suggestions for places in the airport to hangout while I wait? I am not young and don't want to be carrying my bags around. Any information about the airport would be appreciated. I will be flying in on British Airways from Heathrow.

It is not a big airport and very limited for things landside, there is a large café beside domestic arrivals and a smaller one at international arrivals plus several shops , not many areas for sitting around though there are some chairs near the domestic arrivals but they are not comfortable. if you want a meal then there are a few places including a fairly decent Wetherspoons on the upper level before security.nothing close by to visit and unless you have many hours to wait then I would plonk myself down in a café and take my time over a coffee and a snack. free wifi for a few hours at the airport too.

There is also a nice Starbucks on the check in level....but you'd have to get your bags and proceed there...

There are airport lounges where you can buy a day pass for about 24 pounds. If you happen to have a credit card with priority pass connected with it, Priority pass will also work there.

the airport lounges are all airside.Edinburgh Airport is not the best landside, get them in and through the check-in process then to security as fast as they can.
