What would be the best airport to fly into flying from Edinburgh to Galway.

Do you mean Galway, Ireland? Flying would probably be best. If you meant Glasgow, Scotland, the train would be best.

Galway used to have it's own airport, but that is now only used by a flying club.

Probably easiest to fly into Dublin and then take the express bus from the airport to Galway.
The train would also be an option, though it adds the unnecessary step of getting from the airport into Dublin.

There is one late night flight on Ryanair on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to Shannon, but multiple daily flights on both Ryanair and Aer Lingus to Dublin, so that is by far the better route. Saturday is a daytime flight.
