I will be traveling from Edinburgh to DFW with LHR as my connection. I’ve gotten mixed information. When we land from Scotland do we go through security or passport/immigration? My layover is only an hour and 10 minutes.

In August 2022, I flew on British Air from Edinburgh to Heathrow....then on British Air from Heathrow to Nashville. I went through security and passport/immigration in Edinburgh. Once at Heathrow, I did NOT go through security and passport/immigration again.

Edinburgh to London is like a domestic flight in the US. They are both in the UK.
The UK does not have exit immigration.
You will go through security in Edinburgh and the airline will check you have a valid passport.
At Heathrow, you will go directly to your connecting flight. Go to:
fill in your flight information, and it will give you step by step instructions for your transfer.
At DFW, you will go through both immigration and customs.
