If anyone is planning to visit Culzean Castle or headed to Ayr to see the Robert Burns sites the Dumfries House is well worth a visit. It is not located in the town of Dumfries but in the nearby countryside. It was restored by Prince Charles a few years ago and is incredibly beautiful. They have a tour with 18 people and I think we had two guides. There are priceless antiques in every room--china, silver, etc. There are several original large Chippendale pieces that are said to be the most expensive antiques in England and Europe.
