Dumfries House

If anyone is planning to visit Culzean Castle or headed to Ayr to see the Robert Burns sites the Dumfries House is well worth a visit. It is not located in the town of Dumfries but in the nearby countryside. It was restored by Prince Charles a few years ago and is incredibly beautiful. They have a tour with 18 people and I think we had two guides. There are priceless antiques in every room--china, silver, etc. There are several original large Chippendale pieces that are said to be the most expensive antiques in England and Europe.

Yes, worth a visit - but you might want to re-word the last sentence :)

I'd suggest posting this in the Trip Reports section of these forums, if you haven't already.

About the last sentence: Scotland is not in England, hence the suggestion to change wording.
