Deans Village Walk - Edinburgh

I could not find an adequate self-guided walk of Deans Village so I created one by observation. It would be much appreciated if someone with experience in the area could offer a critique.
1. Taxi to Deans Bridge on Queensferry Rd

  1. Deans Bridge House
    a. From the bridge, as you face the village, walk left about a block to the 1st street. House is on the right
    b. Right onto Bells Brae

  2. Deans Brae Bridge
    a. Walk on Bells Brae for 0.1 miles to the bridge over the Water of Leith

  3. Damside
    a. Walk about a block over the bridge on Dean Path to the 1st street crossing, Damside
    b. Left on Damside
    c. Walk about a block past Wells Court to another left on Damside

  4. Water of Leith Walkway Viewpoint
    a. Walk down Damside to the Water of Leith Walkway
    b. Cross the bridge to the viewpoint on the other side of the bridge

  5. Hawthornbank Lane
    a. Short walk then left on Hawthornbank Lane
    b. Walk about 0.1 miles along the river to the 1st intersection with Bells Brae

  6. Deans Bridge
    a. Go straight past the bridge, cross Bells Brae and continue on Millers Row
    b. At the end of Millers Row, about 0.1 miles, walk up the ramp onto
    Queensferry Rd

  7. St Bernards Bridge
    a. Go down the opposite side of Deans Bridge to Water of Leith Walkway
    b. Continue along the river on Water of Leith Walkway for about 3/4 mile.
    c. At the end of the walkway go up the stairs to St Bernards Bridge

  8. Bailie Bar
    a. Upon entry to the bridge, go right for about 50 ft, then left on India Pl
    b. Continue on India Pl for 1/4 mile past Gloucester St
    c. Left on Kerr St then an immediate right onto St Stephens St
    d. Bar is at the corner on he right

Perfect.
Used to go to The Baillie as a student in the early 70’s.

(It’s just “Dean”……no “s”. ) 🙂
