Hi, we will be in Scotland for two weeks in May 2027 without a car. We are very interested in visiting Culross from Edinburgh. I can’t seem to find a tour that will take us there. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Here is Public Transportation I found online: Starting Edinburgh board train at Waverly Station bound for Dunfermline (buy an Off Peak Return for about 10 pounds). In 30 minutes cross the Forth Bridge. Arrive and Transfer to Stagecoach Bus. Walk 5 minutes to the Bus Station for the 8 or 8a Bus. In 30 minutes arrive at Culross Village Green. (Pay via Contactless Card on Bus). Then backwards I presume. Or hire an Uber! Bon Voyage!

Or even easier there is the X51 coach-bus from Edinburgh Bus Station every 20 minutes, exactly a 1 hour journey to Dunfermline.
Dunfermline Bus Station, like most in Fife, is a nice one, fully covered with clear information, and has good toilets, and basic refreshment facilities.
Like any bus in Scotland you can also pay in cash.
The cheapest fare currently from Edinburgh is a £12.80 East Scotland Day Rider- if the £2 per journey fare cap arrives by next May that will reduce to £8.
