Has any visited the Scottish Crannog Centre recently? I see that they had a fire in 2021 and are rebuilding the Crannog. I wondered if anyone can provide a recent report on what is available now. We're trying to maximize our limited time in the area.
Thanks,
Cheryl
Never visited myself although I did hear about the fire. There are recent reviews on Trip Advisor which are very favourable. Have you seen them?
Also the centre is on Facebook so maybe if you are on as well you could contact them to see what is available for visitors to see and do?

Hope this helps.
Thank you. I just got a note back from them. It sounds as if there will still be lots to see.
We recently visited the Centre as part of the RSE 8/2/23 8 Day Scotland tour. We were there a couple of hours. They have demonstrations of food ways, and technology around woodworking, weaving, stone work, etc. There are tents with demonstrators doing these activities along the shore. You can see where the structure in the water had been and can talk with them about their rebuilding plans. It's definitely a good window into what it took to exist then, a time so remote from us today, and worth a visit. The organization REALLY appreciates that RSE is supporting them by continuing to bring and encourage visitors thru during this rebuilding period.
Thanks, Susan, for this updated information.
